Clashes Erupt in Taiz as Government Forces Repel Houthi Infiltration Attempt

Intense fighting has broken out in the northwestern front of Taiz city since Monday morning, with government forces engaging Houthi militias in fierce confrontations.

According to sources, the clashes are concentrated in the "Air Defense Camp" sector and the "Al-Madarajat" area. The engagement began after a surprise infiltration and attack attempt by Houthi militias. Government forces stationed in these positions successfully repelled the assault, engaging in direct combat with medium and heavy weaponry to thwart the infiltration and force the militia elements to retreat.

Sources further indicated that government troops holding the targeted locations confronted the attack and engaged in direct firefights with the assailants, employing medium and heavy arms. This action resulted in the foiling of infiltration attempts and compelled the attacking Houthi elements to withdraw.

An atmosphere of heightened alert prevails among the government forces, accompanied by intensified surveillance and monitoring operations. A cautious calm has settled over the remaining axes and fronts of Taiz city.
