Joint Forces Artillery Strikes Houthi Fortifications North of Dhale

Joint Forces artillery units launched concentrated shelling targeting Houthi militia positions and fortifications in the Bab Ghalq-Hajar front, north of the Al-Dhale governorate, early Thursday, amidst a significant military escalation on the battlefronts.

Military sources reported that the artillery strikes hit their targets directly. This occurred concurrently with intense clashes breaking out on the lines of contact, following an attempt by Houthi elements to advance towards Joint Forces positions under covering fire. The sources added that Joint Forces units detected the Houthi movement and engaged them with direct weaponry, forcing the attacking elements to withdraw after sustaining casualties and equipment losses.

In the Al-Fakhir front, sources indicated that artillery from the 30th Armored Brigade conducted counter-shelling targeting Houthi firing points and the positions of the group's fighters in the areas of Lakim Al-Nabijat and Habil Al-Sama'i. The shelling reportedly disrupted several firing positions and confused Houthi movements.

The Murais front also witnessed similar confrontations. Joint Forces artillery responded to Houthi shelling that targeted several villages along the confrontation line with mortar shells. Sources stated that the response aimed to target the sources of fire and prevent the continuation of shelling on residential areas.

The fronts north of Al-Dhale have experienced intermittent escalation recently, characterized by exchanges of artillery fire and clashes with medium and light weapons. The Joint Forces continue to monitor Houthi movements and respond to any attempted advances or targeting of military positions and populated areas, according to the sources.
