Four Yemeni Nationals from Ibb Killed in Tragic Accident Near Mecca

Four members of the same family from Yemen's Ibb Governorate—a citizen, his wife, his mother, and his daughter—were killed in a catastrophic traffic accident on a road near Mecca late Saturday evening.

Local sources confirmed that the severe collision resulted in the deaths of the four individuals. Additionally, several other passengers sustained injuries of varying degrees and were transported immediately to nearby hospitals for urgent medical treatment.

The frequency of serious traffic incidents on routes connecting Yemen and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia experiences an annual escalation, particularly during the middle of the month of Ramadan. Authorities attribute this rise primarily to excessive speeding and widespread non-adherence to established traffic safety protocols.
