Houthi Drone and Artillery Attack in Lahij Kills Yemeni Soldier

A soldier was killed on Thursday following an attack involving a drone and artillery shelling launched by Houthi militias against military positions in northern Lahij, southern Yemen.

Military sources confirmed that the Houthi militias executed the assault, utilizing an unmanned aerial vehicle and numerous artillery rounds against positions belonging to the "13th Brigade of Lightning" forces on the Karsh front in northern Lahij. The attack resulted in the martyrdom of the soldier, Saeed Ahmed Salem Umair Al-Marqashi.

This escalation by the Iran-backed militia is part of a new wave of military intensification across various front lines, which follows significant recruitment and mobilization efforts undertaken by the Houthis in recent months to reinforce their combatants.
