A military force affiliated with the 13th Brigade, specialized in lightning operations, raided storage facilities in the Radfan districts of Lahj Governorate, southern Yemen, and halted the distribution of food aid provided by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia intended for impoverished families and the families of martyrs.

Local sources reported on Sunday that the aid, distributed through the Al-Jabal Development Foundation as part of a program targeting the most needy families, comprised thousands of food baskets. Approximately 5,000 of these baskets were stored in the Laboza area, pending the completion of coordination procedures with local authorities before distribution could commence.

The sources added that the military contingent intervened, stopping the distribution process and compelling the project administrators to transfer the materials out of the Radfan districts, despite civil mediation efforts aimed at de-escalating the situation.

Trucks subsequently began transporting the food baskets, effectively preventing them from reaching the designated recipients within Radfan. Local reports indicated that quantities of the supplies were lost during the transfer process.

Furthermore, consistent information suggested that roughly 20,000 food baskets were redirected to the Al-Musaymir district for distribution there. Residents expressed significant dissatisfaction, demanding the return of the aid to its intended beneficiaries and clarification regarding the reasons for the blockade on distribution within Radfan amidst the region's deteriorating living conditions.
