Sources in Rada'a, Al-Bayda Governorate, have revealed that a Houthi supervisor, identified as "Abu Saleh Al-Riyami," issued direct threats against the family of Ali Al-Sabahi, a resident of the "Al-Hofra" neighborhood, following his son's efforts to document testimonies from Rada'a merchants regarding the killing of youth Abdullah Hassan Al-Halimi.

The sources indicated that the Houthi supervisor—who is allegedly implicated in the killing of Al-Halimi and his father—telephoned a family member, demanding the surrender of the brother who filmed and disseminated video clips containing live testimonies from shop owners and workers in Rada'a.

According to these accounts, these testimonies directly contradicted the official narrative released by the Houthi Ministry of Interior’s so-called "Security Media," concerning the circumstances surrounding Al-Halimi’s elimination.

The sources further detailed that Al-Halimi was killed treacherously by Houthi security elements after he called for a peaceful strike demanding accountability for those involved in the murder of his father, who was shot by Houthi gunmen in July 2023. This incident had previously sparked widespread outrage within the neighborhood.

Local sources suggest the militia intends to launch a campaign of pursuit and restriction against activists and citizens who participated in documenting and publicizing these testimonies, in an apparent effort to contain the repercussions of the case and suppress narratives that challenge the militia's official statement.

These developments follow a series of violations perpetrated by the Houthi militia in Rada'a, particularly in the "Al-Hofra" neighborhood, which experienced a house bombing during the last Ramadan that resulted in numerous casualties and drew widespread condemnation.
