Local sources in the city of Rada'a, Al-Bayda Governorate, have revealed that a Houthi supervisor known as "Abu Saleh Al-Riyami" issued direct threats against the family of Ali Al-Sabahi, a resident of the "Al-Hofra" neighborhood, following his son's efforts to document testimonies from Rada'a merchants concerning the circumstances surrounding the killing of the young man Abdullah Hassan Al-Halimi.

The sources indicated that the Houthi supervisor—who is reportedly among those accused of killing Al-Halimi and his father—made a phone call to a family member, demanding the handover of his brother. This brother had filmed and disseminated video clips containing firsthand testimonies from workers and business owners in Rada'a.

According to the reports, these testimonies directly contradicted the official narrative released by the so-called "Security Media" apparatus affiliated with the Houthi Ministry of Interior regarding the liquidation of Al-Halimi. Al-Halimi was reportedly killed treacherously by Houthi security elements after he called for a peaceful strike demanding accountability for those involved in the murder of his father, who was shot by Houthi gunmen in July 2023, an incident that sparked widespread outrage in the neighborhood.

The sources further noted that the militia intends to launch a campaign of pursuit and restriction against activists and citizens who participated in documenting and publicizing these testimonies. This action appears to be an attempt to contain the fallout from the case and prevent the circulation of narratives that challenge the militia's official statement.

These developments occur amidst a series of violations perpetrated by the Houthi militia in Rada'a, particularly in the "Al-Hofra" neighborhood, which experienced a house bombing incident during the last Ramadan that resulted in several deaths and injuries, drawing broad condemnation.
