Fifteen individuals abducted from the "Ahl Al-Hofra" area in Radaa have entered the third consecutive day of an open-ended hunger strike within prisons in Al-Bayda Governorate, amid reports indicating a serious deterioration in the health status of several detainees.

Local sources confirmed that one detainee, Hamada Ali Mohammed Al-Dhahiri, was urgently transferred to a hospital after his physical strength collapsed due to the strike. The remaining detainees reportedly remain resolute in their protest until their release or the restoration of their legal standing.

The sources indicated that the fifteen detainees have been held in custody for six full months without formal charges being filed or their cases being referred to the Public Prosecution to complete legal procedures. It was emphasized that no criminal or security cases justifying their prolonged detention throughout this period have been established against them.

In a move described by rights advocates as "arbitrary," Houthi militias deliberately transferred the detainees from Radaa to prisons in Al-Bayda Governorate, significantly compounding the suffering of their families. Relatives stated that this relocation has prevented them from regularly visiting their detained kin or supplying them with essential daily necessities, particularly given the severe economic hardships currently faced by Yemeni families.

The families of the detainees are appealing to human rights organizations and relevant authorities for immediate intervention to secure the release of their relatives, who they assert are being held outside the bounds of the law. They hold the Houthi militia fully accountable for the lives and physical well-being of those participating in the hunger strike.
