Egypt's Foreign Minister, addressing the UN Security Council session on Palestine, emphatically called for an immediate cessation of all violations concerning the Gaza ceasefire agreement and demanded full adherence to its provisions.

The Minister stressed the critical importance of enabling members of the Palestinian National Committee for the Administration of the Gaza Strip to enter the enclave and assume responsibility for managing its daily affairs across all regions during the transitional phase, which is necessary to restore institutional and service stability.

Furthermore, he advocated for the swift formation and deployment of an international stabilization force tasked with monitoring the implementation of the ceasefire and ensuring the unimpeded flow of humanitarian aid into the Gaza Strip, asserting that the dire humanitarian situation necessitates urgent and effective measures.

The Egyptian official also formally demanded that Israel permit the unrestricted entry of aid and cease obstructing the operations of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA), given its indispensable role in providing essential services to Palestinian refugees.

Condemning Israeli decisions aimed at solidifying settlements in the occupied West Bank, the Foreign Minister insisted on halting all procedures for annexing Palestinian territories. He further cautioned against undermining the international community’s and the U.S. President's vision, which rejects the annexation or occupation of any lands in the West Bank or Gaza Strip.

The Minister concluded by calling upon Israel to cease all aggressions against Lebanon and Syria, underscoring that regional stability hinges upon respecting the sovereignty of states and adherence to international law.

These firm positions reflect Egypt's engagement within escalating Arab and international efforts at the Security Council to cement the Gaza ceasefire, prevent the imposition of new facts on the ground in the West Bank, and advance a political track that secures the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people.
