Hundreds of buses carrying stranded travelers have accumulated in the Al-Obar area of Yemen's Hadramout Governorate, as passengers await clearance to proceed to the Al-Wadea border crossing with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Local sources indicate that the conditions for these travelers, particularly families, have significantly deteriorated due to the prolonged waiting period, marked by a severe shortage of essential services. This scarcity includes inadequate restaurant facilities and a complete lack of designated hotels or overnight accommodation.

Hundreds of families, including women and children, are reportedly being forced to spend their nights outdoors amidst harsh humanitarian circumstances and high temperatures, without access to even minimal care or necessary medical services.

Travelers attribute this severe backlog to slow and disorganized transit procedures, emphasizing that the continuation of this situation exacerbates their suffering and jeopardizes their safety, especially given the presence of sick individuals and the elderly among those trapped.

Citizens are urgently appealing to the local authorities in the Al-Obar district to intervene swiftly to regulate the flow of buses and establish temporary solutions, including provisions for shelter and humanitarian aid, until passage to the border crossing is permitted.
