Aden Authority Mandates Official Work Hours Adjustment for Ramadan

The Ministry of Civil Service and Insurance in Aden has issued a directive regulating official working hours for all central and local government units throughout the holy month of Ramadan for the year 1447 AH.

The circular specifies that official working hours during this period will commence at 10:00 AM and conclude at 3:00 PM. It further stipulates that public service units whose operational nature conflicts with the prescribed timing are permitted to set appropriate commencement and end times for their employees, provided such adjustments are coordinated with the Ministry. Crucially, the total working hours must not fall below five hours under any circumstances.

The Ministry affirmed its commitment to ensuring adherence to the mandated schedules, indicating that necessary measures will be implemented to verify compliance across all public service entities.

Furthermore, the directive instructs Human Resources Directors to prepare daily reports detailing attendance and absence records throughout Ramadan and submit these reports directly to the Ministry's Office, specifically to the Sector for Oversight and Performance Evaluation.
